Opera released an experimental browser called Opera Neon dubbed the “Future of Web Browsers?”, the geek in me couldn’t wait to give it a try. After about an hour of usage, I have to say, the Opera Neon team was very brave in presenting their concept of web browser experience to the world. Here are my breakdown of pros and cons of the experimental browser.

  • Opera Neon didn't have what I want in a browser, adding a simple bookmark was an act of congress and we know how fast they get things done. All in all the speed was the same as Chrome. It was not user friendly. To make a bookmark I had to do a copy and paste url into a text box for that purpose. It's insane! The layout and function of todays web browsers are fine it's the ads that slow them down. Want to build a better web browser? Get rid of the ads!

  • I used to be an Opera user before they went the Chromium way. It was an awesome browser. I wish I could go back to it. Is it compatible with any adblocker and tracking blocker yet?
