Digital DJ Tips Full Review:

Pioneer’s new DDJ-SX hybrid controller for Serato DJ is probably the most “complete” DJ controller yet. The first ever Serato DJ controller, it is packed with features. In this DDJ-SX review, we look at the hardware and software.

The DDJ-SX combines key features from some of the best controllers, functioning as a DJ gear ‘greatest hits’. This video overviews each section: Decks, Library, FX, and Mixer, highlighting input/output capability, stability, powerful performance, as well as individual and master VU meters for enhanced control.

  • Love my SX, got it last year in November, got a great deal on it. It had a couple of issue but lucky I know how to fix most electronics and got the right jog working and the right Auto Loop Working again, so far everything is working like new. I even took both jogs of, cleaned and lubricated them and now they spin close to 3 or 4 seconds, according to the video, they spin better then when it was new.

  • Phil the buttons on the top control 3 different effects you can assign 3 individual effects per deck for assign 6 effects across the board for both decks I have owned a lot of Pioneer Controllers for the S1 all the way up to the SZ and the SX Version 1 is by far the best one by far!

  • I'm not sure if it was in serato when this was made, but at 6:46, you can edit the tape stop time in serato and I think that affects it

  • i wouldnt recommemd this controller ,,its too bugy ,the serato platform is plagued with errors ,,very delicate and
    has issue connectivities.
A while back i was using it but after uploading a new update it completely went down the drain ,,so i have used it in the past .
    Stay away from serato and
    use something different

  • Working a venue tonight, plugged in via the USB line it produces a low buzz like a bad earth made sure that vdj sound card was selected but what was really strange is the faders on the mixer didn't work so the master was the only way to control the sound(what did I do wrong? Please advise. Thanks

  • Hi! I am a beginner dj. I have a Pioneer WeGo, which I bought to help practice basic skills and mixing. Im now looking for something that will help take my mixes to the next level. Currently just considering adding a Tracktor F1 to my WeGo so that I have greater control over effects. Could anyone suggest a good all-in-one controller / mixer + controller combo? I am a student so budget is limited, but am willing to save up if considered to be completely worth it. Any suggestions are welcomed!

  • Love this controller!
It's what I currently use; however, I have to say it's not a Beast or heavy.. It's light and quite portable!
Maybe that meant bad ass in England
